Summary

Tab Suspender does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data stays on your device.

Data stored locally

Settings & preferences

Stored in chrome.storage.sync (or local in incognito). Never leaves your browser.

Suspension history & stats

Stored in chrome.storage.local. Never transmitted externally.

Whitelist

Domain patterns you choose to exclude from suspension. Stored locally.

Ephemeral tab state

Flags like "unsaved form" or "WebRTC active" stored in chrome.storage.session. Cleared when the browser closes.

Network activity

Tab Suspender makes no network requests of its own. It does not contact any external server, analytics service, or third-party API.

Read tab URLs and titles to detect inactive tabs and display the tab list.

storage

Save your settings, whitelist, and suspension history locally.

scripting

Inject the content script to detect user activity and unsaved forms.

alarms

Schedule tab suspension timers reliably across browser restarts.

contextMenus

Add right-click menu shortcuts to suspend or restore tabs.

system.memory

Estimate available system memory to show memory savings.
